The curves shown were generated from a circuit simulation program, SPICE, with data for the N channel enhancement mode transistor available in Northern Telecom's CMOS3 process. The channel length and width was 3 microns. (The curves would be similar for any MOSFET.)

The transient circuit characteristics shown were generated from the circuit simulation program, SPICE, with data for the N channel enhancement mode transistor available in Northern Telecom's NMOS1B process. The channel length and width was 7 microns. (This process is no longer made available to Canadian Universities.)

The plots shown in Figure were actually generated with the SPICE level 3 model for an NMOS transistor with a 3 micron channel length and width from Northern Telecom's CMOS3 process. They would be similar for any other process, however.
