Captain's Log for Atlantis
Image Credits: Sub & Terrain - Jim Varner Everything Else was dl'd from Avalon Image Notes: Atlantis depicts a scientist examining ruins found deep under Shark infested waters. Journal: Atlantis is perhaps my favorite image in the lot. It took forever to create the sub mesh because I made the whole $#$%% thing out of simple geometric shapes (instead of lofts and booleans). I could have used the more advanced creation techniques, but I just wanted to see how much could be done with the simple shapes. The water effect also required a great deal of work, taking almost a week to perfect the correct volume light and fog params.
