Income Tux 2009 Spreadsheet for Newfoundland and Labrador
Income Tux 2009 is a spreadsheet based upon the Income Tax forms and schedules available from the Canada Revenue Agency.
It was developed on Ubuntu Linux v8.04.4 using several free and open source software tools including GIMP, ImageMagick and OpenOffice.org v3.2. OpenOffice.org is an office suite that is freely available for several operating systems (Linux, Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, Solaris). To use it, download and install OpenOffice.org from their site for free. Then download the spreadsheet, below.
The spreadsheet may or may not work with earlier versions of OpenOffice.org. (In particular, some of the cells may need realigning.) Other spreadsheet programs which support a recent version of the Open Document Format (ODF) Standard (ISO/IEC 26300:2006) should also be okay. (On Mac OS X, NeoOffice may be a better choice.)
