What are the aspects of the lab that you LIKED most?

i liked that you could do the lab in advance.
The labs made it a lot easier to understand the different course material which is difficult with the book.
Lab assistants and prof actually answered my questions, were not vague or tricky. labs were usually right length. labs helped me to understand course material.
The availability of help.
Labs were easy to understand. The material was all covered in class beforehand.
I liked just the labs themselves, they were fun - most of the time.
Completing them.
Getting to use a computer.
The hands on approach.

The labs gave me a chance to further understand the material covered in class, and to familiarize myself with using a computer.
Sometines it was fun. Also I liked the short lady who's name I won't attempt to spell. She was really nice and funny. she made 3 hours of being slightly confused funny, brang a smile to my face. Thanks!
We got to go at our won pace we didn't have to wait at all. Whenever we we done thats it.

I enjoyed writing programs in Pascal. It was interesting to see what you can get a computer to do when using the right language. Finding the errors in your programs and solving them to get the program to work properly is a rewarding experience. The programs were not too difficult but did get you thinking. After doing this course I am interested in trying new programming languages. I also enjoyed working with and creating circuits. They were interesting to work with and made the different gates easier to understand. I also appreciated the help I received in the lab which was never hard to find.
The exercises that were described in the lab manual were fairly easy to understand and easy to do.
The use of computers in general
helped to reinforce material covered in lectures
The availabitly of a computer for me to use every Thursday.

What are the aspects of the lab that you DISLIKED most?

some problems that conflicted. do the question in the lab manual or the question from the assignment. That happened a few times in this course.
Some of the labs take too long to complete.
the pascal compiler - definitely needs real values and other changes. in some of the harder labs 3 people were not enough to help everyone and there was a long wait to get help. the lab sheets and manual could be clearer, more details.The instructions were sometimes confusing.
Sometimes I felt that they were too long, and I was too rushed to learn all that I would have liked to.

algorithms
some exercises were long and tedious. there were often too many examples on the same topic.
The really crappy Pascal compiler
Sometimes the labs were poorly written and ambiguous. This led to some minor confusion in answering the questions.

Rather simple the were just push this and type this for the most part. All you really had to do was read the instructions.

labs very most often too long, and questions were not always stated clearly
I dislike working with binary digits. I found the lab dealing with binary digits was tedious and frustrating. However the lab did help me with my understanding of binary digits and how the computer interprets them. I found some of the labs to be a little long even if you were well prepared for them.

The amount of work some labs were. Took long time to finish them
lab program was sometimes poor (e.g. the Pascal compiler couldn't handle real numbers - things such as this can be a nuisance
The printers ability to stop working when I am trying to print of my last item in the lab.
