Course Diary
A detailed summary of the topics discussed during each lecture is available by clicking on a day in the calendar at the right. The diary will be constantly under revision during the semester. If you find any errors or have any suggestions regarding the diary, please let me know.

Languages
We covered C, C++ and Perl during the semester (roughly three to four weeks for each language). You can also download a PostScript version of the course outline.

Books
The table below lists the books we will be using for the course. They are the same books that were used last year, so you may be able to buy a cheaper copy from students who have already done the course. The titles of the book are links to their respective websites. These links contain errata for each of the books. The links for the C++ and Perl books also have links to electronic copies of the source code discussed in the books. The prices below do not include taxes or shipping.
