MUN CS Programming Competitions

Welcome to the website for the Memorial University Computer Science Programming Competitions!

Held several times throughout the year, the MUN CS programming competitions test the programming skills of CS students a Memorial by posing several problems that the students attempt to solve within a given time limit. With problems suitable for all levels of programming ability, the competitions offer a great introduction to problem solving for first year students, as well as an algorithmic challenge for senior students. At the end of several hours of intense programming, the winner is the student who has solved the most problems, with ties being broken by the time it took them to solve the problems.

If you are new to programming competitions, check out the resources page for information about the competition, as well as a number of useful links for getting started. You can also see a list of problems from previous competitions in the problem archive.
