Rush concert: St. John's, Newfoundland
October 30, 1987

Before October 30, 1987, I was not a Rush fan at all till a friend of mine, Stephen Sutton, introduced me to the group. After the concert, I was instantly hooked thanks to him.

The concert was perfect and flawless. The opening band was Chaulk Circle and I did not think much of them. I was delighted when they were finished and Rush finally came on.

I wanted to catch one of many red balloons that were released, but Stephen kept on breaking them! However, I managed to get one with the inscription still intact.

When I left the St. John's Memorial Stadium with my friend, I could not stop talking about it. I just wished that I had gone to the showthe night before. I started to get a lot of things involving the group, i.e. all their albums, lots of t-shirts, books, fanzines, clippings, etc. And it is very easy to listen to them frequently.
