Course Project

Give a 7-10 page (single-spaced) proposal (typeset using LaTeX and BibTeX with standard margins for the LaTeX document type) on a research topic of your choosing (see below). This proposal will have the following format:
• Title
• Abstract (between 150 and 250 words)
• Motivation [~1 page]
• Previous and Related Work [~1-2 pages]
• Research Question(s) [~1/2-1 page]
• Methodology [~1-2 pages]
• Timeline [~3/4 page]
• Bibliography (15-25 references) [~1-2 pages]

You will select the topic of your proposal. You must not previously have done or be currently doing a proposal or project (undergraduate or graduate course, thesis, or paid research) on this topic. Moreover, this topic must be confirmed in consultation with the course instructor by 16:00 on Wednesday, February 1.

Submission

Please give a hardcopy printout of your course project to your instructor in person by the time and date specified above.
