Next week's lectures (Dec 1 and 3) will be teardown discussions on
the design and implementation of this term's linguistic analysis
system project. Our guest in Monday's (Dec 1) dicussion will be
Greg Hedlund, one of the original designers and (for the last
4 1/2 years) the lead programmer of the Phon child language
acquisition analysis system. Greg will be on hand to comment on
our design and your design modifications and implementations for
the term project, as well as the original design and ongoing
implementation and re-design of Phon. All people registered for
CS 3718 this sesmester are very strongly encouraged to attend
these discussions.
