The heat at this distance is so intense that their thick steel skins glow softly in the seering radiation. Journal : This image was actually an excuse to show off my perpetually incomplete star destroyer mesh and a flaring star mesh I had been toying around with. As a result, it only took about 3 hours to produce. Perhaps its sheer simplicity has downgraded it somewhat in my own eye, but it is one of the most requested images on the site, so someone must like it.
