Here are some projects that could be incorporated into you lectures
or as an exercise for you can your students:
Have a student retreive a picture of an animal from ZooNet's Picture
Archive and then write a report on that animal. This would be
suitable for elementary school children.
A project on the countries of the world. Have a student pick a country
in the world and then use
CIA's World Factbook to help research it.
Using only the
Educational Sites Page , have the student write a report, in some

find penpals are
For elementary school kids,
For Kids Only! is an
excellent site with links for them to explore.
Another idea might be using
Alex
which is a catalog of electronic texts on the internet. A student could
search for a poem, for example, and write a report on that poem. Alex
has hundreds of online text files to read. Some of the categories
include classics, computers, reference, history, poems, and science.
For high school biology,
An
Interactive Frog Dissection may be useful. This site has
detailed pictures of the dissection of the frog, as well as some movies
on certain procedures. Also
The
Virtual Frog Dissection Kit is also another site about frog
dissection.
Another project could be for a student to create their own Webpage. Here
are some helpful guides and software for writing a Web document:
