Each student must select 4 candidate papers for their presentations. Actually, there should be two sets of papers submitted: 1 recent paper (2010+) and 1 foundational paper that the recent paper refers to. These can be on any subjects within the realm of autonomous robotics. I will discuss your papers with you and together we will decide on one of the four papers on which to base your presentation. The deadline for paper selection is 23 June.
The presentations will be on Wednesday, July 12 starting at 11:00 (room EN-1052). The schedule is as follows:
- 11:00: MA
- 11:20: KN
- 11:40: KH
- 12:00: RK
- 12:20: RT
Each presentation should last about 15 minutes with 5 minutes for Q&A.
The project can be done individually or in groups of two. The expectations for performance will be higher in groups of two. The project would normally be an implementation of one of the main ideas developed in the paper on which your presentation (or your partner’s presentation) is based. The project will be graded based on demonstration. There will be two demonstrations. The first should show intermediate progress and will be held during the lab session on July 26. The final demonstration will showcase the completed project and will be held during the lab session on August 2.
